The instruction manual provides step by step instructions to complete each exercise. This provides numbered steps to guide students through each tool to gain familiarity with the application and gain the skills necessary to modify and build a report or dashboard. With each of the written steps, the previous page provides screenshots to ensure accuracy when completing the exercise material. The manual can be downloaded from the On-Demand using the Training Manual button and may be printed out by each user to complete the simulations and follow the videos. The manual can also provide a reference guide for future report creation.
Each of the training videos follows the manual's step by step instructions. They are used to provide a full commentary on the On-Demand session and further enhance the learning experience by providing an auditory component to the On-Demand. Auditory learners will benefit tremendously from this resource as well as students who may find difficulty in completing an exercise. Most videos are kept at a short length to maintain each user’s interest and to encourage viewing them. Once the video is watched and the commentary listened to, the user will be ready to complete the simulation.
The On-Demand allows the completion of the exercise without using an actual live system. This will allow students to follow the manual or video and commentary. Each On-Demand exercise provides further insight and tips to create visually pleasing reports and dashboards more efficiently. The On-Demand includes call-outs and information bubbles to show what to do next and explain the steps in detail. The information bubbles are identified by the “i” image, which will be shown to draw the attention of the student to understand why each step is necessary, and provide tips and tricks for personal development ideas. Call-out bubbles show where the next step needs to be performed and how it should be done.
At the conclusion of the final exercise of each course, students will have the opportunity to complete a quiz. The quiz will test the students’ knowledge of the relevant topics that are covered throughout each course. In order to earn the completion certificate, the students are required to achieve a score of at least 80%. Upon completion of the quiz, the students will have the option to print out a personalized completion certificate.
